Being violent toward mentally de-centered people makes them even more mentally de-centered. That's why violence is not a good answer to violence. The U.S., and all those who hate violence, should take extremely strong action to stop terrorism. But the action must be designed to cure the problem of highly-conflicted, mentally de-centered people. Whatever that action is, it must be more sophisticated than just additional violence. The terrorists are extreme examples of mentally disturbed people. Remember that those who crashed airplanes into the U.S. World Trade Center buildings cannot possibly benefit from their own actions.
